ALL PRO DAD

All Pro Dad is a simple idea with a profound impact.  It’s a 45 minute monthly breakfast held before school where fathers and their children meet with other dads and kids.  During this time, they discuss a wide range of family topics, spend time together, create fun memories and are equipped with resources to strengthen their relationship.  They usually meet the last Friday of the month from 6:45 – 7:30AM

LITERACY PARTNERSHIPS

Each spring Greenville’s first graders participate in the Literacy Partnerships. This 10 week program is designed to encourage recreational reading.

CAREER DAY

Career Day is an afternoon when speakers come to our school to tell us about their career. Students listen to four speakers talk about their career and then are given an opportunity to ask questions.  It’s a fun and educational day that provides guidance for our students’ future goals.

KINDERGARTEN CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

Greenville’s Kindergarten classes present a Christmas program each December. The children perform a variety of Christmas songs with choreography, and each child is given the opportunity to have a speaking part. This program is a wonderful gift to our school and our community.

THIRD GRADE VETERANS DAY PROGRAM

Greenville’s third grade classes honor our veterans with a music program each November. The program is a combination of patriotic songs, poems, and facts about Veterans’ Day. Each branch of the Armed Services is recognized, as well as any veterans that attend the program.

BRAIN SMART START

The Greenville School Family is learning about Conscious Discipline this year. Conscious Discipline, developed by Dr. Becky Bailey, is a comprehensive social and emotional intelligence classroom management program that empowers adults and children. Adults are taught new skills that promote permanent behavior changes for themselves and their students. Conscious Discipline offers a relationship-based community model of classroom management where the “school family” is at the core. The goals of the school family are to create problem solvers and to provide a loving and safe environment with everyone showing cooperation and respect. When these are achieved, greater learning can occur. Go to https://consciousdiscipline.com/ to find out more and gain skills that can be used in the home setting.
